Logistically we were challenged with the scaffolding having to be erected through a neighbouring school playground. During the works we were faced with some terrible weather and we understood the importance of the church being able to continue with services throughout the duration of works, without suffering ingress.
We achieved this by extra steps with the temporary waterproofing of the roofs and thorough care. We re used the existing Burlington diminishing slates on the request of the church and architect, with great success. The valley gutter was replaced as per the existing with lead. We also undertook the refurbishment of the existing cast iron gutters and fall pipes with full removal, decoration and reinstatement. We carry out various projects for the Diocese of Leeds, and this one was very enjoyable.
